Entekra

Irish manufacturing company Entekra has said it is creating 100 high-skilled jobs at its Co Monaghan base as part of a €46m investment.

The jobs will be in the areas of design engineering, finance, marketing, and customer support.

Entekra, which also has a base in California in the US, specialises in design, engineering and home manufacturing, providing off-site framing for both residential and commercial construction.

The firm has a specific focus on the US housing market.

At start-up stage, Entekra was supported by Enterprise Ireland. The 100 foreign direct investment jobs will be supported by the IDA.

The investment is being made by Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP), as well as private investors.

Entekra CEO Gerry McCaughey said: “The home construction market is the largest and most inefficient industry in the US.

“Entekra’s technology allows us to manufacture energy efficient homes at speed and scale. It will reduce waste and improve quality of the home construction process.”

The company was founded in 2015.

Prior to his involvement with Entreka, Mr McCaughey founded Century Homes in Ireland before selling it to Kingspan in 2006.
