Micheal Briody was the winner of Business person of the Year 2018,
Under CEO Micheál Briody’s leadership, tremendous success has been achieved in both domestic and overseas markets and Silver Hill Farm are now reaping the rewards of this decision.
The opening of a new state of the Art Centre of Excellence in Emyvale, a doubling of production figures to 80,000 ducks per week, further expansion into the South East Asian Market and the creation of 80 new jobs have all been achieved under Micheál’s leadership as he went about implementing his vision and strategic plan for the company.
Despite this tremendous success in recent years, Micheál has set the company further ambitious targets for the next 5 years which include increasing the number of ducks processed from 80,000 – 150,000. Central to this will be the construction of a new state of the art production plant in Emyvale which will lead to further job creation in the locality. This will allow Silver Hill to meet further demand in Asian Markets and expand into new markets such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Canada.
Since becoming CEO Micheál has introduced an “Open Culture” in Silver Hill Farm with staff integration, workplace wellness and developing people all key elements of the company’s values & beliefs. Part of the company’s success is based on the culture of fitness and wellbeing that is proactively encouraged and last year Silver Hill Farm was officially recognised as Ireland’s Fittest Company!
