TOWN VOUCHERS NOW AVAILABLE
Monaghan Town Team in association with both Monaghan Credit Union and the Monaghan Municipal District are in the process of setting up a Monaghan Town Voucher. We are aiming to launch the Monaghan Town Voucher during the first week of October 2016.
Monaghan Town Team are launching the Monaghan Town Voucher as a way to continue to promote local businesses in Monaghan Municipal District and reduce economic leakage whilst retaining as much local spending as possible. The team are seeking to register as many businesses as possible to participate, accept and generate a wide appeal for the Monaghan Town Voucher. A €20 registration fee will be required to accept the shop local town voucher, this will help to cover some of the associated costs of the Town Voucher.
Our initial print run will be €150,000 worth of vouchers that will be available for the local market. Dundalk and Carrickmacross have two very successful town vouchers with Christmas takings reaching €200,000 and €100,000 respectively. The Monaghan Town Voucher will be commission free and can only be spent in the Monaghan Municipal District thus supporting local spending and employment. We have a number of security features built into the voucher including; Sequential Numbering, Foil Hologram and Each voucher will be embossed with our Monaghan Town Team Stamp.
Monaghan Credit Union will act as the main distributor of the Town Voucher and can accept orders over the phone, onsite and via email firstname.lastname@example.org . There will be a number of sub distributors where the voucher can be bought onsite or ordered, these will be listed on www.monaghanhasit.ie .
Monaghan Town Team will promote the Monaghan Town Voucher at all local events and we will also create a number of “Shop Local, Love Local” promotional campaigns.
